Oyo Breedables brought out their wild onez, starting the line with the wild cats and elephants.
The elephants are a personal thing for me, as I’ve been a lover of them all my life. There are no elephant like creatures in my writing world, as of yet.
But there are wild cats. One species that shows up starting in book three is the marsh cat. I’ve been calling them moor cats, but just recently remembered I decided to use marsh cat instead. (I do crap like this all the time. Keeps my editor on her toes.)
Marsh cats are used by the nomads of Hudan. They do take part in the battle at end of Book two but are pretty much in the background. As of yet, there doesn’t seem room to include their stories in the writing. They’re more like “deleted scenes” that get cut from movies.
I will add them into the companion guide and thus, include them in the notecard series on the Kaedara sims.
After seeing how the different coats and bodies combine in breeding the oyo wild cats, I’ve decided some coats on the jaguar body work well for representing the marsh cats. A little small maybe, but they’ll work.
If I happen to get a white saber with green eyes onto the saber body, I may use that one though to represent the large talking marsh cat named Amyr in book three. Amyr is special so I can take a little liberty with his inworldz look.
At first I was worried about how long the wild onez would hold my attention. Wasn’t much at all to breed the elephants for in extras. And the wild cats seem like it wouldn’t take long to get through the possibilities on them.
I judged this based on the cards Jenni gave us at the release party. What I didn’t know is that there’s more coats to find within them that sound really cool.
Just found that out yesterday by stumbling onto a chat session. Oh, it’s on the website, but no one mentioned the additions officially with notices in world. Why, I don’t know.
Just thankful there’s some updating being done to the websites. Speaking of, I should try to redo our oyo horse one and make a wild onez one too. Seems their webmaster isn’t going to show everything on the site.
I haven’t built much lately. The end of the year accounting and some pesky book files have cut into my building time. But I did get a new sofa set series started for the kitty cats to use and the oyo museum building is finally for sale. All my store buildings are offered for sale now too…didn’t catch that I had not set their boxes for sale until recently.
There will be an excerpt notecard offered soon at Dee’s Designs. This notecard will show a short scene from The Jada Series by Sandie Bergen.
The bay horse with Pink Ribbon Eyes in front of Dee’s Designs is named after the bay horse Dubric rides in the books. This is part of the memorials to honor close friend Sandie Bergen.
Dee’s Designs is named after my mother who battles Breast Cancer. Not advanced stage, thankfully, but she’s way too old for this crap. Dee’s Design offers limited products sold through the RFL or BC kiosks during fundraising season. There will also be other specials there later this year.
